According to a notice circulated by Coochbehar Panchanan Barma University (Ref. No.F187.V3/REG/1144-23 dated 26th June 2023) there are three SEC courses; each SEC subject will have three papers each in 1st, 2nd and 3rd semester. These courses are aimed at imparting practical skills; hand on training, soft skills etc, to enhance the employability of students. They have provided several subject options like Spoken English, Soft Skills, Basic Computing, Videos and Photographic Editing, Professional Ethics, Medical Pathology, Aquarium Fish Keeping Management, Poultry Breeding, Tourism, Wild Life Conservation and Management, Bhawaiya, Folk and Creative Dances, Tailoring and Designing , Beauty and Wellness, Electronic Repairing, Banking, Gardening, Organic Farming, Proof Reading (Bengali), Recitation, Theatre, Stress Counseling and Management, GST Filling, Hospitality Management, Office Administration, Proof Reading (English), Interior Designing, Green Chemistry. Mathabhanga College will adopt the courses according to facilities and infrastructure from the academic sessions 2023-24. Mathabhanga College has been already conducting a few skill development courses in order to enhance the hope of employability among the students. The college has already been running certificate courses on skill development like computer based skill development in collaboration with ICA and Anudeep foundation and a beautician course.
